Pinnacle Park Trail
If you plan to visit the beautiful hiking trails and campsites of Pinnacle Park in Sylva, please be sure to fill out a copy of the Pinnacle Park Permit. After filling out the permit, return the form side of the permit to the permit box. You can find these permits in the gravel parking area for Pinnacle Park.
Pinnacle Park Rules
- You must possess and retain the Pinnacle Park permit while hiking or camping.
- Camping is permitted in designated sites only marked on the map 1 – 5.
- Open fires are prohibited except in designated camping sites within fire rings. Only dead or downed wood is to be burned.
- Food Storage: When not being transported or consumed, all food must be suspended at least 10 feet from the ground and no less than 4 feet from the closest limb or tree trunk.
- Trash: All trash must be packed out. Stored trash must be suspended at least 10 feet from the ground and no less than 4 feet from the closest limb or tree trunk.
- Toilet use must be at least 100 feet from any campsite or water source.
- All vegetation, wildlife, and natural structures are historic and protected by law on this property.
- Do not cut, carve, or deface any trees or vegetation.
- Motorized vehicles are not permitted in the Park and are prohibited by law.
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited by law.
- There is a 3 night maximum stay for camping.
